Behavioral Science Legal Strategy Group, LLC (BSLSG) was founded by Michas Taitano, a certified criminologist and legal consultant with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a specialization in Criminology from the University of Washington.
A President's List honoree and national award winner in autism research, Michas brings a unique interdisciplinary approach that blends behavioral science, criminological theory, and legal strategy to advocate for individuals navigating the post-conviction system.
BSLSG specializes in clemency petitions, mitigation packets, resentencing consultation, and hearing preparation for individuals serving long sentences in Washington and Oregon. We believe that people are more than the worst moment of their lives, and that families deserve a path to reunification.
Our mission is simple: provide accessible, compassionate, and expert-level advocacy at rates 60-90% less than traditional attorneys, because justice should not be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.
